# Toolbooth

> Pay-per-call tools for AI agents over x402 (HTTP 402 + USDC). No signup, no API key: request the endpoint, receive a 402 with payment requirements, pay, retry.

- [Webhook inbox](https://toolbooth.dev/openapi.json): `POST https://toolbooth.dev/v1/inboxes` ($0.005, body `{"ttl_hours": 1-168}`) returns `callback_url`, a read `token` (shown once), `messages_url` and `expires_at`. Give `callback_url` to any async API (rendering, transcription, crawls, task queues) as its webhook. Read deliveries with `GET {messages_url}?after=<seq>&wait=<seconds, max 20>` and `Authorization: Bearer {token}`; pass the returned `next_after` as `after` on the next call. Delete with `DELETE /v1/inboxes/{inbox_id}`.

## Limits

- 100 messages per inbox, 256 KB per message, lifetime up to 7 days, then deleted.
- Deliveries are stored as raw bytes: text bodies are returned as `body`, binary as `body_base64`. Nothing is parsed or executed.
- Cookie, Authorization and client-IP headers are dropped before storage; other headers (e.g. webhook signatures) are kept so you can verify them.
